Notes

SX1308-based boost converter modules are available from many sources. The aliexpress seller I purchased from offers the module in a small form factor with no input or output connectors, suitable for wiring into any circuit.

About the SX1308

The SX1308 Boost Converter is a tiny, high-efficiency DC-DC step-up adjustable power module that turns a lower voltage into a higher voltage

  • Input Voltage: 2V to 24V DC
  • Output Voltage: Adjustable up to 28V (or ~31V max depending on the specific breakout board)
  • Maximum Output Current: Up to 2A (internal switch limit)
  • Switching Frequency: Fixed 1.2 MHz
  • Efficiency: Up to 95%–96%

About LEAP

LEAP is my personal collection of electronics projects - usually involving an Arduino or other microprocessor in one way or another. Some are full-blown projects, while many are trivial breadboard experiments, intended to learn and explore something interesting.

Projects are often inspired by things found wild on the net, or ideas from the many great electronics podcasts and YouTube channels. Feel free to borrow liberally, and if you spot any issues do let me know or send a pull-request.

NOTE: For a while I included various scale modelling projects here too, but I've now split them off into a new repository: check out LittleModelArt if you are looking for these projects.
